Hope Village Development Partners

Architecture

SKL Architects is a leading architectural design firm located in Seattle that is known for its award-winning, socially responsive architecture. SKL provides pro bono design and construction services to build Hope Village. Their team has made multiple trips to Tanzania to work with our Tanzania partner on site analysis and selection, provide advisory services, and detailed architectural site and building plans. SKL incorporated the use of environmentally responsible technology and materials into their design to ensure sustainability and to provide employment opportunities for local villagers.

Infrastructure Engineering

Engineers Without Borders-Puget Sound Professional Chapter, Pacific Groundwater Group, and Russell Prior, Independent Licensed Hydrogeologist have provided pro bono design work for the development of Hope Village. They have made multiple trips to Tanzania to work with our Tanzanian partner for site planning, water analyses and advisory services. They have been instrumental in siting and drilling the water wells in Lutukira and at Hope Village, and providing on-going advisory services to support the water projects and many other projects for Hope Village that improve villager's lives.

Construction

Several organizations and individuals have provided funding to build water and electrical infrastructure and construct the Rotary Health Care Dispensary, Masonry Vocational Training Classroom and Residential Orphan Home at Hope Village. These include:
